Billy W joins forces with Nordic Trax making for some serious heat on this their 70th release . This 3 track ep features 2 original scores and one smoking remix . Up first we have the title track U Just Don't Know with its smooth deep tech vibez old skool mid riffs and a totally captivating vocal . The vocal really ties the tune together . Giving it a retrospective outlook.

"Billy W may be new to the production game, but his deep and slower tempo house grooves have already gained early support from King Britt, Pete Moss and Cosmo Baker among others. Matt Prehn delivers some sweet deep beats 3 originals that are set for early next month. My fav goes to Orbit 9 just for its pure deepness !

"Matt Prehn, is up first with his 'My World EP'. Matt drops 3 new tracks, moving from the funky side of House down to some serious deep rhythms.
The title track 'My World' features chunky beats over a rolling bass line, giving the track a funky, but deep, groove. Filtered keys work their way over the beats as Matt weaves vocal samples throughout the mix.
Next up, Matt drops 'Out of My Mind' featuring vocalist, Lasdiva Soulice. We have heard Matt work with vocalists many times over, and in my opinion, this is where Matt really shines - only top shelf production here. Matt builds a solid groove while maintaining a perfect atmosphere for Lasdiva's vocals, making for a hauntingly deep journey.
Finally, the EP closes out with 'Orbit 9', and takes things deep! Personally, I couldn't get enough of this track when I first heard it. This one drops us down in to those low ranges with floor rattling rhythms, complete with layers of female vocal FX and atmospheric synths."

Another stellar release from last year is getting the remix treatment for this Trendy Mullet 2nd release of 2012 .. this time deep house legends Fish Go Deep provide the remixes .. Smooth sultry vibez just oooze from the fabric of his tune. Late balmy summer nights is when i'll be dropping this.

LATECOMER's Conditions ep seemed to slip under the radar after being released at the tail end of 2010 despite critical acclaim from a host of leading DJs and music blogs. 2011 saw him featured on MCDE DJ Kicks album and provide a couple of stunning remixes for Conya and faces recordings. Having been strong supporters of the original release we were honoured when FISH GO DEEP agreed to put their own spin on the release.

"Featuring dancehall legend Capleton, 'The System' was one of the standout tracks from Miguel Migs' recent album 'Outside the Skyline' and captured the attention of none other than dub legend Mad Professor who provides two remixes. Other re-rubs come from Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation), Rob Paine and see the triumphant return of Migs' Petalpusher alias, infamous in the late 90's and early 00's for releases on Naked Music.

Where Migs created a beat-driven, progressing tune on 'The System', Mad Professor halves the tempo, saturating the track with space reverb and dancehall stabs. Then the Prof takes things one step further with the dub - a stable hi-hat ride lights the way through an absolute haze of echo and vocal chops. Rizlas recommended.

This excellent release covers many highlights. Having a look at the line up will make folks reflect on those diamond tunes that Amber Muse Records are proud to present its 7th anniversary compilation containing 7 brand new and unreleased remixes from Aaron-Carl, Artie Flexs, Uppfade, Electricano, Sound Masters, Testpattern and Craft B.

First up are Craft B. and Veronique out of Detroit. Their classy vocal production "Climbing" was edited by Detroit's House Music legend Aaron-Carl and will have the full single release early next year with new mixes. Electricano's "Tibet" was remixed twice: Artie Flexs gave an airy house touch to this originally progressive track, while Croatian Sound Masters kept original vibe but did it in their signature dark'n'deep way. One of talented underground house music producers in Latvia Uppfade also gave his touch to Flyingmice "How Do You Know" track - if you're keen to hear something techy, deep and underground this version is for you. "Way Beyond" from Testpattern also has two new versions: deep prog rework b y Testpattern themselves and uber-cool nu-disco styled mix from Electricano. Autoband is the solo project of Gudmund Østgård, a prolific member of the music scene in Tromsø, Norway. With his warm Scandinavian electronica he blends ambient, glitch and jazz to a surprising and soothing mix. The album sounds a bit like The Cinematic Orchestra snow skiing on the Arctic Circle, meeting up with Boards of Canada and Tycho, and jamming in the hotel room with Ane Brun.

This sampler contains 5 tracks from the self-titled album, showing the diversity and depth of Østgård's production. Sounds vary from upfront electronic to icy 'chill out' material as well as a couple lilting songs with a gentle female vocal. From Istanbul comes Deep House Proposal, an enterprise that organically evolved from a club night to a well-received podcast and then eventually an ambitious label focusing on the deeper side of the house music spectrum. "UM Records returns for its fourth release and the first for 2012 with Argentinian producer Santiago Santamaria's 'One Night'. The EP serves up four tracks of warm, moody and lazy deep house including two remixes - one from the current darling of deep house Alvaro Hylander, and the second from respected Candian house DJ/producer Jon Delerious.
Santiago Santamaria's influences lie in jazz and saw him study classical piano as a teenager. His production career started back in 2000 inspired by Detroit's sounds and early deep house. Calgary's Jon Delerious has been a staple of the ‘west coast’ house scene since his first 'big' gig in 1992. Since then his production talents have seen him grow into an internationally respected DJ/producer with his music being supported by a diverse array of artists from Gilles Peterson through to Laurent Garnier. He's played around the globe with some of house music's finest including 'Little' Louie Vega, Carl Cox, Mark Farina and Ben Watt. A regular on Nordic Trax he's also been featured on City Life, Doppelgaenger, Filter Music and more over the years.

Finders Keepers has a low slung bass drift laced with an infectious zippy mid . Tight well worked vacals are used all the way through in a very intricate way .. Something im sure isn't easy to achieve as a producer .. This jam is jiving its a firm fav of mine on the Ep. Sundance again us those infectious chopped and snipped vocals .. with a warm funky bassline sexy sax .. Its quality ! I'll be playing this one as well.. rounding this smoking EP off is Go on a skipping up beat groove .

Therapy the title track is a rolling sax infested bounce .. An enticing lyric pays hommage to the jazz that defintly featyres in these beats .. A very DJ friendly tune that will work well on the crowds. making them get a wiggle on Filta Freqz rising talents that are smashing things at present tighten up the anticapation with the ascending bass groove, holding on to the infectious sax they drive the tune .. A sweet sound flirting with the electro swing sound of today .. The 3rd tune has a very summery vibe .. upbeat Latin riddims bounce along with a hip house vocal keeping it real .. Very MAW ..

4: Sean Danke – Leeks (Philipp Ort Remix)

It’s always great news when a new label comes on board, so let us dip our collective hats to Something Different Records, and label bosses Jesus Pablo and Di Riviera. In their own words: “Something Different is not different from any other record label just because we release music. But we are Something Different because we pride ourselves in releasing music on a deep, tech and groovy tip for dance floors worldwide.”
They open up with a double A-side from Sean Danke, a true underground hero with a long history of producing quality underground house and techno tracks, stretching back to 1995. He has recently released on labels like Affin, Dialtone, Gung Ho!, Arabica, Illegal Ninja Moves, and Revolucion. As the owner of a local record shop in Reykjavik and the brains behind countless parties over the years he is considered by many as the man largely responsible for creating the healthy club scene that exists in Reykjavik today.
Remixing Breath is Martijn, a familiar name in the Kahua family. Martijn is a DJ & producer from the UK who hit the underground House scene with his first release appearing on Kinky Vinyl in the form of The Red Light EP in 2007 which instantly earned him the respect of DJs both national and international. Since then, Martijn has had releases signed to successful labels such as Look Ahead Records, Loco Records and Baker Street; and this year saw him attract the attention of Kruse & Nürnberg, who signed up his EP for their highly respected Save Room Recordings. He is also the boss of Deep Edition Recordings.
Philipp Ort gets in on the act with his remix of Leeks. In the past four years, Philipp has gained work experience in places such as the Fabric Studio in London, the Herbal Night Club and at SAE London. Philipp has released various remixes and originals for labels such as Roots & Wings, Alive Recordings, Blackrose Records, Abstract Theory, Cimelde Records, Cubism and many others. He has forthcoming releases on Natural Rhythm, Inmotion Music and Tanzbar just to name a few.

Excellent twisted beats that blend just enough house in to just enough techno ... Tech House .. The title track with its intriguing bassline and zippy mids takes you in and out of the tune.. Some nice syncopation at play as well. Nice

"Harmonious Discord gears up for its most promising winter to date. The first in this series comes to us from label founder and analog synthesizer addict Sean Anderson aka PointBender. Following the recent success with releases on Thoughtless and Blaq this space techno magician offers up a sharp dose of melody driven tech-house. Peppered with a cast of innovative techno savants, the "So Fell The Orbit" single offers a tale of space travel with stylish re-works by Noah Pred, KiloWatts, Symbio, and Vital.

The original "So Fell The Orbit" is a tom driven big-room invitation to orbit with thick, cascading syncopated elements filling up the spectral field. The introduction of a pad progression and various assortments of effects propel this song into full blown musical composition complete with the introduction of a killer bass-line that permeates the earlobes.

Noah Pred of Thoughtless Music provides a pair of remixes for the EP, giving it some marquee recognition. The Elliptical Dub remix is a dub study adhering to the formula of the original, focused more on refinement of sound and focus rather than re-invention. One thing that can be counted on with any music from Pred is that it will sound big, distinct, and clean. His mix of warped 303 bass lines and clicky minimal noise on this remix is a refined, sophisticated version of the original elements, fine tuned to perfection. The second remix (Gravity Collapse) rearranges the rhythmic elements for something more tribal, while dialing back the bass, allowing the melodic pieces from the previous dub version emerge. The sleepy vibe and relentless beats make this version the most dance floor appropriate on single that reaches far and wide.

Next up is Harmonious Discord favorite KiloWatts. His remix offers a chunky slice of dubstep-influenced sci-fi IDM techno. KiloWatts can work in many styles but seems to be most at home when he is channeling mother ship landings and A.I. takeovers into his music. On this remix, he doesn’t skimp on any of that, creating a total makeover of the original. Out of that re-imagining springs a lasting track that crosses many genres along the way.

530Techno front-man and thought provoking mentalist Symbio is introduced to the label via a stripped techno-roots remix. This Lateral Dub focuses on subversive elements of the original brought to the forefront and driven with tension to a dark industrial-earth resolve.

A first for the Harmonious Discord label the package ends with the first ever drum n' bass contribution to the label. Vital (a local Dallas,TX producer) has transformed the original into a vibe-rich, commercially consumable selection that shows the lasting power the song's elements have when showcased in a genre that's far from the original."

"The original "Pumping Chords" was inspired by Jeff's image of a classically trained violinist transforming and merging into a futuristic bass robot. Sometimes something special such as a dream or passion may be born in a room. That was the case here; it began with a group of people joined together by their need to listen to good music one Sunday morning. This quickly became a welcomed after party which developed into what was named ‘Menomale Afterhours’ in the Summer of 2006 with DJs After & Shave aka Mario Conte e Fabio Spezzaferri. These guys had been passionate about music for many years so decided to cultivate this common love for composition and production and in September 2008 ‘Menomale Afterhours’ became ‘MENOMALE RECORDS LTD’. The concept was simple; give both new comers and veterans in the music industry the possibility to be involved, first hand, with a musical project based not on notoriety of an artist but on potential and hard work. Mario and Fabio do not believe that starting from the beginning makes you a ‘nobody’ but rather a ‘somebody with enormous potential’. The first label ‘Menomale Records’ was born in November 2008 with its opening release called ‘Eletroniche Ep’ by After & Shave and was defined by the idea that minimal tech-house music is an art form. Therefore this isn’t just another minimal label but rather the creators believe that importance lies on the discovery of non-conventional paths for ‘now’ rather than adhering to an established minimalism movement. In the years that followed the two founders nurtured their passion and cultivated the fruits of their labour, in fact, ‘Menomale’ now boasts 2 labels (Menomale Records and Menomale Music), more than 80 tracks on 25 albums and more than 25 artists such as Sebastian Ese, Gery Otis, Booz (Boozandthesheep), Luca Rosa, Mario Reder, Licuadora System and Ave just to name a few. Yuriano grew up in Jakarta City, Indonesia. He’s been playing musical instruments since the age of 11, and has been trained to play classical piano as well as jazz guitar. He started DJing and electronic music production in 2005. His debut EP with Eddie Leader on the infamous German label Plastic City is continuting to attract interest six months after release.

What's it all about?
Eddie Leader teams up with Yuriano on this latest EP from the consistently excellent Hudd Traxx. Following a three-track collaboration earlier in 2011 for the mighty Plastic City, the duo release another 3 here on 'The Albatross EP'.
What does it sound like?
All three tracks deliver classic deep house grooves. From the swirling opening track 'Side Step' to the sax infused 'Blue Moon' and the late night, retro house sounds of 'Selau Beats'. This one's sure to appeal to those fans of the classic house sounds of Guidance and iRecords.
Who's involved?
Eddie Leader originally played as one third of Slum Science from Huddersfield, England. They released their first EP in 2003 on Belgium label Deep Future and went on to release music on DJ Heather’s Black Cherry Imprint amongst others. In 2005 Eddie launched his own label Hudd Traxx with artists such as Luna City Express, DJ Sneak, JT Donaldson, Brett Johnson, Little Fritter and many more featuring to date. Hudd Traxx has gone on to become a staple in the house music community and be known for its consistency. Hudd’s music has been licensed to the likes of Fabric, Om & Ministry Of Sound. Eddie's solo debut came on Phil Weeks' Robsoul imprint and more recently was asked by Chicago Guru Chez Damier to remix a track for his Balance Alliance imprint. Keep an eye out for Eddie’s next tour in December 2011 & January 2012 when he'll be in Asia, Australia & New Zealand.

What can be said about Sneak that hasn’t been said before! As one of the second wave of influential house producers coming out of Chicago in the early 1990’s (he was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the Windy City in the early 80’s) he has released hundreds of records and remixes and is a true A-list DJ on the worldwide circuit. Innovator to many, Sneak's love for music inspired others like Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx and Armand Van Helden.
Since 2000 Phil Weeks has released his own unique brand of house music on some of the world’s leading underground labels including 2020 Vision, Music For Freaks, Brique Rouge, Detour, Adult Only and his own Robsoul, which is responsible for the majority of his original output. Eleven’ sees the Spanish brothers Javier and Luis Garayalde celebrate eleven years since they formed. Thirteen tracks include vocal collaborations with Odille Lima, Ladis Sité, Melina Jones, Ricky Husbands and Roberto Q. Ingram. Juno Plus have described the Wagon Cookin’ sound as ranging from “nu-jazz era ‘live’ workouts and straight-up smoky deep house”, drawing comparisons with 80s electrofunkers Imagination and contemporary disco-housers Crazy P, and the same range applies to this stunning LP project.
‘Eleven’ sees the duo synchronize with what is being created stylistically in the most advanced musical circles of Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. A return to the New Wave, Disco and Synth-Funk from the early 80’s where the first digital synthesizers, funk melodies and uber-compressed rhythmic patterns are intermingled to create a sophisticated, retro-futurist and melodic musical landscape, all done with typical Wagon Cookin’ flair.
Wagon Cookin’ was born from the deep passion of brothers Javier and Luis Garayalde for good music and delicious food. They also share also the experience of living together in a genuine railway wagon, which once ran on the great Trans-Europe-Express at the beginning of the 20th century and is now is situated near Madrid in the foothills of Sierra De Gredos.
Both skilled musicians playing several instruments they were part of various jazz bands before developing an interest in electronic music, acid jazz and house in the 1990s. Starting out on Chris Duckenfield’s Odori imprint, they have gone on to work with Compost and Lovemonk, as well as forming their own label Appetizers which led to collaborations with people like Rainer Trüby, Gilles Peterson and Masters At Work, and three critically acclaimed albums.
Eleven is released on Smoke N’ Mirrors, sister label to San Francisco’s infamous Om Records, and responsible for recent outings from Hot Toddy, Ian Pooley, Pezzner and Body Language.

2 Original track both with slinky shuffeling beats. Warm and emotive making for a solid up beat set of tunes.
One Love holds a late night bump close to it's heart. Well placed vocals add a nice diva vibe . Smooth production skills makes sure you flow along .
2 remixes are added the first from Pete Da Feet & LMD family friend Howard Session (who will be getting his own shout out later as he has a current release making waves).
Pete adds a driving bassline that plays well with a very us house sound. Quality beats and a very diverse fresh sound from Pete just show casing his skills.
Howard Session drops use a straight talking rub down that sports a very nice piano line.
On A Tip is the 2nd tune the original flerts with swirling bass vibes . Stucco mids that entice you in to the fabric of the beat. Sort of tune i could see Atjazz dropping .. Very modern sounds. The 1st remix is a solid chugging adventure set for the deeper parts of the night. Phill Weeks of Rob Soul Recordings slamms us with a slice of heads down magic for the dance floor. Following his Lost My Dog debut on the recent ‘Who’s Got Him? EP’ sampler, Acid Andee now releases the five-track ‘Stab Fever EP’. Four brand new tracks appear alongside ‘Callao’ from the earlier sampler – a track which earned the Italian DJ and producer praise from the likes of Huxley, Moodymanc, Kolombo and Elmar Schubert.
There’s a wide range of sounds an influences across this EP – from the energetic title track ‘Stab Fever’, to the deep and groovy ‘Feelin’ Me’, the blissful and laidback ‘Talking Bass’ and ‘Sea Fever’, and the classic US house sounds on ‘Callao’.
Who’s involved?
Originally from Venice, Acid Andee (Andrea Zanenghi) started his music career around the turn of the century as part of Arm Your Sampler, an electronic music team with Broken Chips and Black Dance. With Arm Your Sampler he played live all around Italy with names like Kiki, Kevin Saunderson and Don Rimini.
Now residing in Madrid and working as a solo artist, his first EP was released on Tunz Tunz Records in August and brought a strong Detroit techno taste while heavily referencing the old school and deep house. ‘Stab Fever EP’ is his second full solo outing and comes as Andee finalises preparations for a new live solo - a mixture of deep funky house with that all important classic feeling.

Random Factor, part of the fabric of UK underground house culture, joins forces with Bulletdodge Records boss Gareth Whitehead on a new collaboration for Lost My Dog Records. ‘The Wons Around EP’ sees the duo release three tracks and two remixes that should appeal to fans of their previous solo work for labels including 2020 Vision, Freerange, Get Physical, Music For Freaks, Safari Numerique and BCBtec. It’s an esteemed discography that Lost My Dog are delighted to be joining.
What does it sound like?
It’s a melting pot of underground house sounds – deep, techy, acidic, trippy and soulful elements all combine.
Who's involved?
Carl Finlow has a 25-year career of writing and recording music. He was first involved with Warp and in 1995 he and Ralph Lawson set up 2020 Vision Records, producing deep house flavours of their own as Wolf and Flow and under his own solo guise of Random Factor. As Random Factor, Carl has recorded three albums for 2020 Vision alongside countless singles, EPs and remixes. His output under various other aliases has appeared on labels including Fuel, Playhouse, Paper, Trope, Sony, Klang, Arista, Soma, Pagan and Minifunk.
Gareth Whitehead is a vastly experienced producer, engineer, remixer, DJ and artist that has established his own signature brand of deep, dubby tech-house and minimal. As a label owner he set up techno label Edit/Select with Soma legend Anthony Scott (Percy X) and in 2007 established his own label Bulletdodge Records. Gareth has also released music on labels such as Naked Lunch Records, Parallel 125, Cubism and Safari Numerique, receiving support form the likes of Joris Voorn, Slam, Tony Rohr, Anja Schneider and Ricardo Villalobos.

Rob Pearson label owner .. Brings us a gem of an EP with deep tech edged house beats in the original leading us towards a late night show down where the sophisicastated house heads get their grooves on . the remixes are all aimed at the dancefloors as well so expect to see this getting support from many differnet dj styles during the night.
Evasive will be 12 soon and this is the 1st solo release from Rob. Thanks and its sure been worth waiting for.
Rob has had such a busy schedule that has seen him collaborating with living legend Afrika Bambaataa, as well as remixing for various labels including Bounce House, Cubism, 3am, Keep it Simple and Bombis, it's hardly surprising that Rob has little time to concentrate on his own material. However, inspired and refreshed from his trip to Sonar earlier this year where he was DJ'ing with the Lost my Dog and Beatsworkin crews, Mr Pearson locked himself in his lab and emerged a wee while later with the concocted potion that is 'Big Like Beyonce'. Whilst Mr Pearson is not himself a diva, this cheeky little number leaves you with what can only be described as one hell of a bitch slap!

Three fantastic remixes from some of the scene's most exciting producers complete the 'Big Like Beyonce' package in superior style. Lunacy Sound Division aka Mark Gwinnett, makes a welcome to return to Evasive since his remix of Rob Pearson's track Question Mark appeared on Evasive 20 Sampler EP in 2008, while Freaky Disco and Short Bus Kids both make their first, and hopefully not their last, appearance on Evasive. All mixes of 'Big Like Beyonce' are serious dancefloor candy, making this release a must-have for the discerning Underground House DJ crate.
